Terms and Conditions

William Geek Design provides independent Smart IoT device design services. Submitting a request is free and does not obligate either party to begin a project.

Project agreement

A project begins only after both parties accept a written proposal, statement of work, or similar project agreement. It will identify the scope, deliverables, estimated schedule, price, currency, payment schedule, and any approved third-party costs. If a project agreement conflicts with these general terms, the project agreement controls for that project.

Delivery

Minimum delivery cycle: 3 business days. Larger scopes may require more time. Delivery dates are estimates until scope is confirmed and may be adjusted when the scope changes or required client feedback, materials, or approvals are delayed.

Scope changes and revisions

Revisions included in the agreed price will be stated in the project agreement. Work requested outside the confirmed scope may require a revised estimate, schedule, or written change approval before that additional work begins.

Fees and payment

No payment is due merely for submitting a request. A deposit or milestone payment may be required before work is scheduled, started, or continued. Invoices are payable by the due date stated in the project agreement or invoice. Work may be paused while an invoice is overdue.

Known mandatory charges, applicable taxes, and approved third-party costs will be identified before payment where reasonably possible. You are responsible only for third-party costs you approve in advance.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel a project by emailing support@williamgeekdesign.com. If you cancel before work begins, amounts paid will be refunded except for approved third-party costs that cannot be recovered. If you cancel after work begins, fees for work already completed and approved non-recoverable costs will be deducted, and any remaining prepaid balance will be refunded.

Completed and accepted milestones are generally non-refundable. If a deliverable materially differs from the written scope, notify us within 14 calendar days of delivery. We will first make a reasonable correction within the agreed scope at no additional design fee. Any approved refund will be initiated to the original payment method within 10 business days after the refund amount is confirmed; financial institutions may require additional processing time.

Intellectual property

Ownership and permitted use of project deliverables will be stated in the project agreement. Unless that agreement says otherwise, rights to final deliverables transfer only after all related invoices are paid. Third-party materials remain subject to their own license terms.

Operational messages

The William Geek Design Request Updates program uses SMS only for a phone-verification code you request and, if you separately opt in, updates about your own request. Consent to request-status SMS is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for support.

We do not send marketing or promotional SMS. Phone verification alone does not provide consent for request-status SMS.

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in data, or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We also do not rent or transfer this information for those purposes.
